Plot Summary
Lifelong platonic friends Zack (Rogen) and Miri (Banks) look to solve their respective cashflow problems by making an adult film together. As the cameras roll, however, the duo begin to sense that they may have more feelings for each other than they previously thought.
Trivias
- According to ‘Entertainment Weekly’, The Weinstein Company greenlit the project based solely on the title.
- The role of Miri was originally written for Rosario Dawson. However, due to prior commitments with the 'Steven Spielberg (I)' produced Eagle Eye (2008), she had to decline.
- Writer/director Kevin Smith wrote the role of Zack with Seth Rogen in mind.
- Lester's slight lisp in speech wasn't so much a creative decision, as a result of actor Jason Mewes's ongoing painful dentist surgery leaving him with that lisp in his everyday speech during the shoot.
