Plot Summary
Shadow
Shadow is a suspense - thriller movie in which Arjun Sherawat is a man who is unseen and is the criminal. No one has his identity. It has now been 6 month and the police have not yet been able to crack a serial murder case. This case has been granted to Sanjana who is a police officer. She has been trying too hard for the past 6 month but all her efforts have been in vain.
Sheetal is a press reporter who loves her profession to the core. She is a very vibrant girl and full of life, she works with a known news channel and has each and every information about the case as she follows it very closely.
Rahul a press reporter from another news channel has also been following the case step by step. He constantly keeps nagging Sanjana about the case by questioning her from time to time. Sheetal is in love with Rahul who is in love with his profession only. Murders are still being committed in short intervals. There are many incidents which also point out that may be Rahul is actually Arjun Sherawat and Sheetal is deeply involved with him.
One day Sheetal passed an information to police about the next target of Arjun Sherawat then Sanjana shot him in an encounter. And so the case has now been solved. This also removes the suspect which was on Rahul and Sheetal. Everyone is in a joyous mood until they hear Arjun Sherawat's latest audio clip on television which says that he will kidnap a famous builder Habeeb Faizal in front of the police on a given date. Everyone is stunned on hearing this. Meanwhile Arjun Sherawat succeeds in kidnapping Habeeb Faizal.

Don’t dare to come under it. ..

Firstly, let's give it to the determination, willpower and courage of Nasser Khan, who enacts the role of the protagonist in Shadow. Imagine a blind person carrying off those hazardous, death-defying stunts... Just that effort deserves an applause.

SHADOW is more of a showreel to project the acting abilities of Nasser Khan, so, expectedly, the writing takes a backseat. Yet, there's no denying that there still exists a sizable chunk of movie-going audience that relishes masala films and SHADOW is targeted at them.
In an effort to showcase the heroic abilities of Nasser Khan,
the writers throw logic out of the window while writing the scenes. The film holds your attention in the initial reels, but goes haywire in the second half.
Shadow is an action film with an amusing gimmick, not in the reel but real. The protagonist shown with normal eyesight is blind. The invincible part of the movie is not in the movie but behind. Naseer Khan – the man confidence & more important the passion will now make him see his dream through others eyes. He rides a horse, bikes, jet ski, even romances, does an item number. Well that’s deserves a clap. But it is the director who disappoints. He should have concentrated more on the story of the film.
The stunts and also a few individualistic sequences are deftly executed. Plus, the musical score (Anand Raaj Anand) is the type that caters to the masses and fits well for this genre. Rohit Nayyar's shot compositions are perfect. Plus, technically speaking, it's a polished job. However, the writing lets him down at places. Cinematography is good. The stunts deserve special mention.

Promos of Shadow have been bombarding across all channels for weeks now in a vain attempt to generate curiosity. Well since I saw this film with just four more people in the cinema hall, it means no one was lured by them. The USP being told that the male lead is a real blind guy who has managed to perform his own stunts and behave as if he is not blind on reel. Well, not a bad thing to do since the film has not got any major stars.
Nasser Khan is not an actor and though this is evident in several sequences, you don't really complain because you haven't come to watch the histrionics in any case. It's the curiosity factor that has drawn you towards this film, right?
Milind Soman gives a good account of himself. Sonali Kulkarni looks grossly over-weight, but does well nonetheless. However, what was the need to make her do an item song? Hrishitaa Bhatt and Samir Aftab get minimal scope. Sachin Khedekar enacts the mandatory villain's part with ease. Vishwajeet Pradhan and Mushtaq Khan are commendable.
Why was the film made you wonder as you come out of the cinema hall? May be Naseer Khan wanted to fulfill his childhood dream to play a hero in big screen. Well salute to his efforts but his dream has been converted into a nightmare by his scriptwriters and director.
SHADOW caters more to the hardcore masses mainly. A film for single screens!
