On the way there, he meets with another slacker by the name of Prem, who is the son of a tailor named Bankeylal Bhopali. Goofs
Andaz Apna Apna
- The 2 male leads travel from Bhopal to Ooty in a coach. Fact is that such a journey would take nearly a week! A bus journey is just not feasible between Bhopal and Ooty.
- During the scene where Salman and Aamir meet in the lodge, after Aamir gets released from jail, Aamir asks Salman how he is. Salman replies "Tip Top" but the visual looks like he doesn't say anything at all.
Trivias
Andaz Apna Apna
- When Aamir Khan and 'Salman Khan' were approached to sign the contract for the movie each of them wanted more screen time than the other, but finally settled on being onscreen for the same amout of time.
- 'Mehmood' 's character owns a film studio called "Wah Wah Productions". This is a reference to Mehmood's earlier film _Pyaar Kiye Jaa (1966)_ where he plays a person who has his own film productions also called "Wah Wah Productions".
- The voice of actor 'Shehzad' was dubbed by his father Ajit.
- The whole part towards the end where Aamir Khan compliments Shakti Kapoor, is a reference and tribute to the film Sholay (1975).
- Shakti Kapoor's character, Crime Master Gogo, is supposedly the nephew of Mogambo, the villian immortalised by Amrish Puri in Mr. India. The movie also makes references to the famous line "Mogambo Khush Hua" (Mogambo is pleased) during the many confrontations between Bhalla and Robert and Crime Master Gogo. Crime Master Gogo continually steals something from the two hired goons, as it is "the family business". On his departure, he starts the phrase by saying "Gogo..." while Robert finishes the sentence "Khush Huagi" (Gogo... Khush Huagi = Gogo will be happy)
- When Salman Khan is asked whether he has seen the movie Sholay (1975), he says "Haan, dus baar (yes, ten times)", Amir Khan jokingly says "Iske baap ne likhi hai" (his father has written it). This is true. Salman Khan's father Salim Khan was one the co-writers of the 1975 block buster Sholay.
- It is not the first time that actor Jagdeep has played the role of a "Bhopali". He has done it "Sholay" (1975) and in "Soorma Bhopali"
